Settings, Backup, and Data Transfer

Open Practice Journal and select the Settings control.

Profile

Enter a nickname of up to 16 characters. Choose or delete an avatar image. Profile presentation does not change score titles or practice-track names.

Theme

Under App Theme, select System, Light, or Dark. System follows the device appearance setting.

Export practice records as CSV

Select Export Practice Records (CSV) to create a spreadsheet-friendly file containing practice session information such as date, weekday, practice time, start and end times, memo, and tracks for that day.

CSV is intended for practice-session records. It does not contain the complete score library, annotations, track check state, or every application setting.

Import practice records from CSV

Select Import Practice Records (CSV) and choose a compatible exported file. Review the completion notice. CSV restores practice-session records only; it does not restore the track list or daily check state.

Export a full JSON backup

Select Export Full Backup (JSON) before reinstalling the app or moving practice data to another device. Despite the control’s name, this file backs up supported practice and profile data rather than the entire PDF score library. It contains practice tracks, practice records, daily checks, repetition counts, nickname, avatar reference, and theme. It does not contain PDF scores, annotations, score images, links, metronome libraries, or audio recordings. Keep separate copies of irreplaceable files and confirm iCloud sync before reinstalling.

Keep backup files in a location you control. A backup may contain personal practice history and should not be posted publicly.

Import a full JSON backup

1. Select Import Full Backup (JSON).
2. Choose a backup created by LogScore or its supported migration format.
3. Confirm the restore result.
4. Review practice tracks, checks, repetition counts, practice records, profile, and theme before deleting the backup.

Do not edit the JSON manually unless you understand the format. An invalid backup is rejected.

Help and legal information

Settings also provides User Guide, Replay Introduction, Show Feature Tips Again, Privacy Policy, and third-party credits. Resetting tips allows contextual feature hints to appear again without deleting user data.
