Is LogScore a PDF sheet music viewer?

Yes. LogScore is a PDF sheet music viewer and score reader for iPhone and iPad, with annotation and practice tools integrated around each score.

Can I import my own sheet music PDFs?

Yes. Import from Files or iCloud Drive, scan paper pages, enter a public direct PDF URL, or browse IMSLP for material you are permitted to use.

Does LogScore include sheet music?

LogScore is built primarily for scores you import. IMSLP browsing helps locate public-domain material, subject to IMSLP’s notices and the copyright rules in your country.

Can I write on scores with Apple Pencil?

Yes. On a compatible iPad you can use pen, pencil, highlighter, erasers, a ruler, symbols, text boxes, and images. Annotation layers can be shown or hidden independently.

Are annotations permanently flattened into the PDF?

LogScore keeps major annotation content as editable score-associated data so layers and placed objects remain manageable in LogScore. Sharing the base PDF does not necessarily reproduce all separate LogScore annotation data in another reader.

Can LogScore turn pages without touching the screen?

Yes. Depending on hardware support, use face gestures, compatible AirPods head movement, or a Bluetooth HID page-turner pedal.

Does a Bluetooth pedal pair inside LogScore?

No. Pair a compatible HID pedal in iOS Bluetooth settings, then enable Hands-Free Page Turn and choose Pedal for the score.

Does every score have its own metronome settings?

When the metronome is opened from a score, LogScore stores score-associated BPM and rhythmic configuration so another score can use different settings. Sound preferences also provide app-wide defaults.

Can I record while reading the score?

Yes. Open the recording panel from the score toolbar, start recording, and continue viewing the score. Saved takes can be played, skipped by 15 seconds, renamed, shared, or deleted.

What happens to recordings when I delete a score?

The score, annotations, and linked practice records are deleted. Its audio recordings are preserved under All Recordings > Deleted Score until you delete them separately.

Does LogScore track practice time?

Yes. Start, pause, resume, edit, and finish timed sessions in Practice Journal. LogScore calculates daily and total time, current and best streaks, calendar activity, and trend views from saved records.

Can I back up my data?

Yes. Export practice sessions as CSV or use Full Backup JSON for supported practice tracks, records, checks, counts, profile, and theme. Neither format contains PDF scores, annotations, or recordings. CSV does not restore track lists or check state.

Does LogScore sync between iPhone and iPad?

With the same Apple Account, iCloud enabled, compatible app versions, and enough time for transfer, LogScore synchronizes supported scores and app data. Large PDFs and recordings may take longer.

Is LogScore a subscription?

No. LogScore is offered as a one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription. Current price and availability are shown on the App Store.
