PDF Score Tools

Open the score toolbar and tap the ellipsis to access Share, Trim Margins, Link, and Rearrange Pages.

Share the PDF

Select Share to open the iOS share sheet for the current imported score file. Available destinations depend on installed apps and system settings. Sharing the PDF does not automatically include LogScore’s separate layered annotation data in another PDF reader.

Trim page margins

1. Select Trim Margins.
2. Drag a corner or edge handle around the useful music area.
3. Review the darkened area outside the crop boundary.
4. Select Apply.

The selected crop is applied to every page in the PDF. Because page sizes and scans can differ, inspect the result across several pages. Keep a backup before cropping a score whose pages have inconsistent margins.

Rearrange, delete, or append pages

1. Select Rearrange Pages.
2. Drag rows into the desired order.
3. Swipe or use the list delete control to remove unwanted pages.
4. Select Import to append pages from Photo Album or another PDF in File.
5. Move newly imported pages into position.
6. Select Done to replace the score PDF with the new page sequence.

At least one page must remain. Photos are converted to PDF pages. Importing another PDF appends all of its pages before you rearrange them. This operation changes the stored PDF itself. The JSON backup in Settings does not contain PDF scores, so keep an independent copy of the original PDF when its page order matters.

After changing the PDF

LogScore reloads the score after trimming or rearranging. Verify page order, existing annotation alignment, and the last viewed page. Major changes to a PDF’s page geometry or order may make old page-specific annotations appear on a different musical page, so structural edits are best completed before extensive annotation.
