Explanations, recordings, and transcripts
Add equivalent text and optional short audio or video while preserving a readable alternative.
Steps
- Write what is happening in the scene and a media description for reading support.
- Choose Record explanation for optional narration. Keep each explanation within 15 seconds and add a transcript with the same information.
- For a video source, choose a candidate range. A shared video scene is at most 15 seconds and is silent by default.
- If including original sound, review the whole rendered preview, complete its transcript, check sharing permission and sensitivity, then confirm the review.
- For timed captions, add ordered, non-overlapping cues within the recording while keeping the complete transcript available.
What to expect
The recipient can use the visual scene with a text alternative and, when included and reviewed, matching audio, transcript, or captions.
If it does not work
- If microphone permission is denied, keep the written explanation and transcript; recording is optional.
- If safe video rendering fails, shorten the range or use reviewed still scenes. The app does not share an unmasked original as a fallback.
- If caption times are invalid, keep plain transcript text and correct the cue order and boundaries.
Keep in mind
Image masks do not hide names or conversations in audio. Re-encoding does not make sensitive content anonymous.
