PlainQuote helps solo service businesses turn an on-site conversation into a professional quote, retain the exact sent version, collect a decision, turn it into one or more invoices, record payments, and issue receipts.

Primary user flow

1. Create business profile during a short, skippable onboarding. 2. Add or select a client, then name a job. 3. Add catalog items and sections to a quote; totals update exactly. 4. Preview and create a real PDF; share it and record a delivery event. 5. Save/compare/restore revisions and capture approval state. 6. Convert the approved snapshot into full, deposit, progress, or custom invoice allocations. 7. Record manual payments/refunds and issue a receipt. 8. Use Today, reports, exports, and backups to keep control of the business data.

Business profile; clients; jobs; item catalog; quotes; sections/line items; tax/discount/markup; PDF; sharing; revisions; quote-to-invoice conversion; manual payments; deposits/partial payments; receipts; Today; Documents; search; basic reports; CSV export; backups; offline persistence.

Deliberately external/credential-bound

Hosted customer approvals, read receipts, multi-device sync, online checkout, provider email/SMS, production push notifications, Store/Play products, and production signing require external configuration. Local interfaces and test adapters remain part of the product work.
