PlainQuote privacy notice
Effective date: September 4, 2026 Operator: HomiSoft LC Contact: help@homisoft.com
PlainQuote is a local-first estimate, invoice, payment-recording, receipt, expense, report, and export application. Version 0.1.0 does not require an account and does not operate a PlainQuote cloud service.
Information stored by the app
Information entered into PlainQuote is stored in the app's local workspace on the user's device. It can include:
- business profile details;
- customer names, companies, contact details, addresses, and notes;
- jobs, quotes, invoices, receipts, line items, taxes, discounts, payment references, expenses, and reports;
- backup files, exports, and files selected by the user.
HomiSoft does not receive, sell, rent, use for advertising, or use for cross-app tracking this information in the current release. PlainQuote contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, account system, hosted approval link, cloud sync service, or online payment processor for customer invoices.
PlainQuote Pro can be purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. Apple or Google processes the purchase under its own privacy terms. PlainQuote reads the resulting entitlement on the device to determine whether the new-document limit applies; HomiSoft does not receive payment-card information, purchase receipts, or a developer-hosted purchase profile.
When information leaves the device
PlainQuote creates PDF, CSV, and backup files locally. Information leaves the device only when the user explicitly chooses an operating-system action such as Share, Print, Save to Files, or sends a file through another app. The selected recipient, mail provider, printer, file-storage provider, or payment service processes that information under its own privacy terms. HomiSoft does not operate those services.
Permissions and security
PlainQuote uses the system document picker when the user chooses a backup to restore. It writes temporary PDF, CSV, and backup files only to fulfill a user-requested export or share action. The current app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, advertising identifier, or background-location access.
The app relies on the device and operating system for access controls. Users should protect their device with a passcode or biometric lock and share documents only with intended recipients. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure.
Retention, export, and deletion
Local records remain on the device until the user edits, archives, deletes, restores over, or removes them. The app provides CSV export and a full backup export so users can retain their own copy before deleting the app or its data. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local workspace, subject to the operating system's backup and restore behavior.
Because the current release has no PlainQuote account or developer-hosted customer database, there is no server-side account or document record for HomiSoft to delete. If a user has sent a PDF or export to a third party, that copy must be managed with that recipient or service.
Children
PlainQuote is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children.
Changes
If PlainQuote adds cloud sync, hosted document links, online payments, analytics, or another service that changes how information is handled, this notice and the applicable store privacy disclosures will be updated before that feature is enabled.
