MileDone privacy

Privacy policy

This policy applies to MileDone: Mileage Tracker by HomiSoft LC.

Local records, no MileDone account

MileDone does not provide a HomiSoft account, login, advertising service, remote trip database or remote route analytics. Trip records, categories, notes and route summaries are stored on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.

Location and motion permissions

Manual distance entry works without location permission. Manual Drive uses foreground location only while you start a GPS recording. Automatic Tracking is optional and uses platform location and motion / activity permissions to detect and record a drive while the app is not open or the phone is locked. MileDone asks before enabling Automatic Tracking. You can decline and continue using manual records.

Location and motion signals can be incomplete. MileDone does not invent an unobserved road route or report a possible gap as GPS-confirmed mileage.

Map, address and store services

When available, Apple MapKit or Google Maps SDK can provide map tiles, and platform geocoding can attempt an address lookup. On Android, the optional Google Maps SDK can send service-request metadata, an IP address, an SDK-specific pseudonymous identifier and SDK crash metrics to Google to operate and improve Google Maps; map interactions can also be processed when you open a map. StoreKit and Google Play Billing handle purchase and restore requests. These platform services process requests under their own privacy policies. MileDone does not operate a server that receives trip history.

Exports, backups and deletion

You control CSV, PDF, backup and Share Sheet exports. A recipient or file provider you choose can handle a shared file under its own terms. Delete individual records in the app. Because MileDone has no HomiSoft remote trip database, deleting local records and removing backup files you created removes the data controlled by the app. Uninstalling the app also removes its local app storage, subject to device and backup settings.
