LowBeam Privacy Policy

LowBeam Privacy Policy. The app uses no account, ads, or tracking and keeps headache records on your device.

Effective date: September 4, 2026
Operator: HomiSoft LC.

LowBeam helps you privately record and review headache and migraine symptoms.

Where records are stored

LowBeam does not require account creation or sign-in. Headache records, start and end times, pain severity, symptoms, medication name and dose, notes, and app settings that you enter are stored on your device by default. Core records, History, and Insights work without an internet connection.

The current version uses no developer-server sync, CloudKit sync, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or advertising-identifier tracking.

Information the app handles

  • Headache record start and end times and recording methods
  • Pain severity, symptoms, medication names and doses, and notes
  • Medication information and display and recording settings you add

This information is used only on the device to display records, calculate period-based statistics, and create a PDF or CSV file you request. LowBeam does not provide diagnosis, treatment guidance, prescriptions, or medication-dose recommendations.

Notifications

On iPhone, LowBeam can request notification permission in Settings. Core recording works even if notifications are not allowed. The current version does not provide automatic sleep or weather integrations or preventive-medication schedule reminders.

Exporting and sharing

When you choose to export a PDF or CSV, the file is created on your device and may be sent to a destination you choose through the operating system's share sheet. That destination's privacy policy applies after sharing. LowBeam does not send health records outside the device without your action.

Deletion and retention

Records remain on your device while you keep them there. On iPhone, you can delete all local records and settings in the app's settings. Data handling after deleting the app or resetting a device depends on the operating system and your backup settings. Export any PDF or CSV you need before deletion.

Medical notice and contact

LowBeam is not a medical or emergency service. For new, severe, sudden, or urgent symptoms, contact a medical professional or local emergency services. We will update this policy and its effective date if features or legal requirements change.
