Privacy Policy
ShotDo Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 27, 2026
HomiSoft LC. ("HomiSoft," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS version of ShotDo handles information. ShotDo turns user-selected screenshots into editable to-dos and reminders while keeping the original visual context attached.
Data collection
HomiSoft does not collect data from the ShotDo iOS app. ShotDo has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, developer-operated backend, or cloud-sync service. Screenshot images, recognized text, suggested titles, notes, reminder details, and to-dos are not sent to HomiSoft or an external AI service.
On-device processing
ShotDo uses Apple system frameworks to process information on the device. Vision performs text recognition. On eligible devices, Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework may help create an editable task suggestion. Unsupported devices continue to work with on-device text recognition and deterministic rules. ShotDo does not upload screenshots or recognized text for this processing.
Photos and imported screenshots
ShotDo accesses an image only after the user selects it, explicitly asks the app to find recent screenshots, or shares an image to ShotDo from another app. Imported images may be copied into ShotDo's private local storage so the visual context can remain attached to a to-do. ShotDo does not scan the photo library in the background.
Deleting ShotDo data removes its local records and private image copies. It does not automatically delete original images from the photo library. Deleting an original screenshot is a separate user action and requires the operating system's confirmation where applicable.
Reminders and notifications
Notification permission is requested only when a user saves a to-do with a reminder. Reminder content and scheduling are handled locally by the operating system. HomiSoft does not receive notification content or delivery information.
Local storage, retention, and deletion
ShotDo records remain in the app's private local storage until the user deletes an item, uses the in-app option to delete all ShotDo data, or removes the app. ShotDo does not implement account-based or cross-device cloud synchronization. Any operating-system backup and restore behavior is controlled by the user's Apple device and iCloud settings.
Network access and external links
ShotDo does not transmit screenshot or to-do content to a HomiSoft server. Links to the public manual, privacy policy, or support email open only after the user chooses them. The destination website or email provider may process the ordinary technical or message information needed to complete that user-requested action under its own terms.
Support communications
If you contact HomiSoft for support, we receive only the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device and app version, screenshots, and issue description. We use that information to respond to and manage the support request. Do not send private screenshot content unless it is necessary for your request.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
ShotDo does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, third-party crash-reporting SDKs, or cross-app tracking technology. HomiSoft does not sell or share ShotDo app data for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
Children's privacy
ShotDo does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not provide accounts or transmit app content to HomiSoft, HomiSoft does not use ShotDo to build profiles about children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when ShotDo's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published. App Store privacy disclosures will also be updated when required.
