LogScore Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 24, 2026
HomiSoft LC. ("HomiSoft," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how LogScore handles information. LogScore is a score viewer and practice log app for importing PDF scores, annotating them, recording practice, using a metronome, and tracking practice sessions.
Personal data collection
LogScore uses Apple's CloudKit private database to sync app data with the user's iCloud account for app functionality. This synced data may include imported PDF scores, annotations, notes, folders, recordings, practice logs, nickname, profile photo, completion states, and check states. The data is associated with the user's iCloud account so it can be restored and synchronized across the user's devices.
Local and iCloud app data
LogScore stores app data locally on the user's device and may sync that data to the user's private iCloud database through CloudKit when iCloud features are available. CloudKit private database content is controlled by the user's Apple account and is used by LogScore to provide app functionality such as backup, restore, and cross-device sync. Some settings and device-specific state, such as metronome settings and open-tab or session state, may remain local to the device and are not necessarily synchronized through CloudKit.
Data types used for app functionality
LogScore may process audio data from practice recordings, profile photos, other user content such as PDF scores, handwriting, annotations, and notes, user identifiers such as a nickname, and product interaction data such as practice time, completion records, and check states. These data types are used for app functionality and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Synced LogScore data is stored in the user's private iCloud database through CloudKit and may remain available to the user's Apple account for backup, restore, and synchronization. Deleting the LogScore app from a device may not delete data already stored in iCloud.
When the user deletes synced items inside LogScore, the deletion is intended to sync to the user's other devices. LogScore may retain minimal deletion markers for as long as needed to complete deletion synchronization and prevent deleted items from reappearing. These markers do not contain user content such as titles, notes, nicknames, PDFs, annotations, recordings, or profile photos.
Users can manage iCloud data and sync for LogScore through iOS, iPadOS, or macOS iCloud settings, including disabling iCloud access for the app or deleting app data from iCloud where Apple provides those controls.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
LogScore does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, third-party crash reporting SDKs, payment or subscription SDKs, or a HomiSoft backend server for analytics or advertising. HomiSoft does not use LogScore data to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
User-initiated network requests
LogScore may connect to user-selected websites only when the user chooses to import content. This can include IMSLP search or import through WKWebView or URL loading, and PDF import from a user-provided URL. These requests go directly to the selected website or IMSLP and are separate from HomiSoft analytics or advertising services.
Device permissions
LogScore may request permission to use the microphone for practice recording, the camera for document scanning and face-gesture page turning, motion data for AirPods or head-gesture page turning, and add-only Photos access for saving practice or share cards to the Photos app. These permissions are used to provide app features on the user's device.
Face Data and Face-Tracking APIs
When the user voluntarily enables Face input for the Hands-Free Page Turn feature, LogScore uses Apple's ARKit ARFaceTrackingConfiguration and the device's front camera to detect facial gestures.
During an active face-gesture session, Apple's ARKit processes the live camera input on the user's device and provides LogScore with temporary numerical facial-expression values, such as left and right eye-blink values and left and right mouth-movement values.
LogScore uses these temporary values solely to determine whether the user requested the previous or next score page. Face data is not used to identify or authenticate users, create user profiles, analyze identity, or for advertising, marketing, analytics, tracking, or data mining.
Collection, Disclosure, and Sharing
HomiSoft does not collect, upload, transmit, or receive face data, camera images, facial-expression values, facial geometry, or depth data. Face data is processed locally on the user's device and is not disclosed or shared with HomiSoft, advertising services, analytics providers, other users, or any third party.
Because LogScore does not share face data with any third party, no third party receives or retains face data from this feature.
Retention and Deletion
LogScore does not save or retain face data, camera images, facial-expression values, facial geometry, or depth data. The temporary facial-expression values are used only in real time while the Face input method is active and are discarded immediately after processing. The camera and face-tracking session stops when the feature is disabled, the score viewer is closed, the app enters the background, or camera permission is revoked.
Because LogScore does not store face data, there is no retained face data for the user or HomiSoft to delete.
Consent and Revocation
LogScore requests the user's camera permission before starting face tracking. Users may decline permission and continue using all score-viewing features except camera-dependent features.
Users can stop face-data processing at any time by disabling Hands-Free Page Turn, selecting a different input method, closing the score viewer, or revoking LogScore's camera permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera. Revoking camera permission prevents LogScore from starting a face-tracking session.
Support communications
If you contact HomiSoft for support, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, device model, operating system version, app version, screenshots, and a description of the issue. We use support communications only to respond to your request and maintain our records as reasonably needed.
Children's privacy
LogScore is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required by applicable law.
